PRS has unveiled their 2025 lineup of SE electric guitars, marking a significant evolution in the series. The updates include long-awaited left-handed options for popular signature models, innovative new designs, and comprehensive upgrades across the entire range.
PRS 2025 SE Left-Handed Signatures
The highly anticipated left-handed versions of the John Mayer SE Silver Sky and SE Silver Sky Maple, along with a left-handed Zach Mayer model, are finally available. The Silver Sky’s 2025 colours now include Piano Black, Stone Blue, and Moon White.
This is a fantastic move and will undoubtedly please left-handed guitarists, as it finally allows them to purchase these high-quality, affordable models.

2025 Upgrades
PRS has also enhanced the SE range with various upgrades and updates, aligning it more closely with its premium Maryland-made models.
These changes include new aesthetic and functional features, such as lampshade knobs replacing the previous speed knobs and a five-way flat-tip switch replacing the blade switch.
New 2025 Colours
The SE Series is expanding its colour palette for 2025. The SE CE 24 Standard Satin will be available in three new metallic finishes: Ice Blue Metallic, Metallic Gold, and Metallic Silver.
The SE acoustic guitars will also feature new aesthetic options, including Fire Red Burst and Doghair (Gloss) on the SE P20E and Cobalt Blue Burst on the SE A60E.
Additionally, select models will offer Orange Tiger Smokeburst and Charcoal Cherry Burst finishes.
SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo & 24-08
This SE Custom 24 Semi-Hollow Piezo model combines the versatility of a semi-hollow guitar with the acoustic warmth of a piezo pickup. A visually stunning addition to the SE lineup, the SE Custom 24-08 features a quilt maple top and a variety of eye-catching finishes.
SE T60E Acoustic Guitar
The newest member of the Tonare Grand body shape series, the SE T60E, delivers a rich, vintage-inspired tone thanks to its solid spruce top, Ziricote back and sides, and Fishman Presys VT electronics. This acoustic guitar offers a balanced, resonant sound that is perfect for various musical styles.
Verdict
These new 2025 PRS SE models look like a step in the right direction for the already excellent value-for-money guitar range. From the subtle updates and addition of left-handed models to the signature guitar ranges, these will be popular with many potential buyers.
