PRS DGT 15 – David Grissom get new signature amp
The PRS DGT 15 is the latest venture between PRS and David Grissom. A new smaller-wattage vintage tube amp with 1×12 cabinet and built-in Tremolo.
PRS DGT 15
The PRS DGT 15 was developed from the ground up to compete with Grissom’s vintage amps and is based on the character of its predecessor, the DGT 30. As an ideal addition, a matching 1×12 cabinet equipped with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker is also available. Let’s take a closer look at this new compact setup.

David Grissom and PRS
David Grissom and PRS Guitars have a long-standing partnership. As early as 1985, Grissom acquired its first PRS model, just a year after the company was founded. Today, the celebrated guitarist can proudly look back on two signature models and has now, after the DGT 30, received another tube amp model tailored to his style – the PRS DGT 15 Head.
Tube Tone
The DGT 15 Head has a characteristic blonde Tolex cover, is single-channel, and has 15 watts of tube power. It covers crystal clear cleans to rich overdrive sounds with vintage character.
Made in Indonesia, the DGT 15 has an additional boost, which a foot switch activates, along with tremolo and reverb.
In addition to the three-band EQ, the amplifier offers numerous possibilities for fine-tuning the sound, including controls for reverb and tremolo, a bright switch, and setting options for top cut and presence.
The bright switch can be switched on or off, but only with the boost. The top cut subtly tailors the high frequencies before the power amplifier. The amplifier uses three 12AX7 and one 12AT7 for the preamplifier tubes and two EL84 in the power amplifier.
