PRS invites you to tour its USA factory in new YouTube video
PRS has just uploaded an in-depth video of how the company builds guitars at its US factory in Stevensville, Maryland. If you’re a PRS fan, grab a cup of coffee and chill in front of this video.
Take a tour
The new video gives you a glimpse of the guitar building process at PRS’s Maryland facility. The video is narrated by PRS COO Jack Higginbotham, who has worked at the company for 35 years. The 26-minute video takes us from the rough cut of the wood all the way through to to the final assembly of the guitars.
The devil is in the details
I found it really interesting to hear Jack Higginbotham explain the whole process in detail. It’s full of little details like the story about how the staff at PRS can even tell who sprayed the sunburst finish on certain guitars – apparently they all have their own personal style. I also learned that to takes a month to finish a neck for the Core series of guitars, which is a pretty long time! PRS assures us that it wants everything about its guitars to be perfect.
This short video is a nice slice of PRS pie and gives you some absorbing insights into how these guitars come into being. Well worth a watch in my opinion!
