This PRS Private Stock John McLaughlin Limited Edition is a high-end guitar designed for a very discerning guitarist.

Hormigo
Key specifications include a maple top, mahogany back, Hormigo 25” scale length Pattern shape neck (a tonewood used on marimbas for sound-producing tines), plus an African blackwood 10″ radius fretboard fitted with 22 frets.
Crushed Opal Oval
The fretboard also features Celtic Knots inlays, plus an Abalone Knot with Holly Spikes and a Crushed Opal Oval.
Plus, the Private Stock Eagle on the headstock also comes with a Crushed Opal with Holly outlines.

Smooth Finish
The guitar body is finished in a Charcoal Phoenix with a Smoked Black back high-gloss nitro finish, paired with an unfinished neck with a clear grain filler for a smooth, natural playing feel.
Hardware includes a PRS patented Gen III tremolo and a set of PRS Phase III tuners.

TCI
A pair of PRS TCI pickups feature American Alnico and are controlled with volume and tone controls with a 3-way toggle pickup switch and two mini-toggle EQ switches.

Limited Edition
Only 200 PRS Private Stock John McLaughlin guitars will be made in 2023. It isn’t a cheap guitar and so be prepared for your wallet to take a hit with this one.
Paul Reed Smith and Paul Miles have signed each Private Stock John McLaughlin model on the back of the headstock.
As an added detail, John McLaughlin has also autographed the back plate of each guitar.
Great looking guitar, but then it would have to be at this price.

Unfortunately nobody is ever gonna play this stunning guitar, it’s gonna be locked away in some insanely wealthy collectors safe 🙁
In a way building a musical instrument that isn’t intended for playing music is a waste of materials and resources.
