PRS has just announced a new SE Sandblasted Swamp Ash limited edition, adding yet more choice for players on a budget looking for a unique look. And unique they will be: no two guitars will look exactly the same.

A total of 750 guitars in total will be manufactured in this finish exclusively for the European market. Each and every one of the new PRS SE Sandblasted Swamp Ash limited run will look totally unique; no two guitars will look the same.

SE Custom
Each guitar will feature the same specifications as other SE Ltd guitars: two-humbucker pickup combination, 24 frets and and the obligatory PRS signature bird fretboard inlays.

Sand-Blasted
The new PRS SE Sandblasted Swamp Ash is available in 5 finishes: Sand-blasted Frozen Charcoal, Sand-blasted Fire Red, Sand-blasted Indigo, Sand-blasted Yellow and Sand-blasted Emerald.
Swamp ash is obviously a great tone wood, so to see it on a Custom 24 looks really interesting. Certainly makes a change to the usual maple top. The sandblasting will add a pretty unique flavour to the guitar’s aesthetic as well, so these could become quite sought after once they’ve all sold out.
The models available are SE Custom 24, SE Custom 22, SE Custom 24 Lefty and the SE Custom 24 Floyd, so something for everyone in amongst that lot.
You will need to check in with your local PRS dealership to pick one up, but don’t leave it too long, as I am sure these will sell out fast. This is another series available exclusively in Europe, so our American cousins will have to wait and see if they get a similar one soon, as happened with the recent roasted maple run.
