Zynaptiq’s new PUNCH plugin is a dynamic tool designed specifically for precise sound shaping and dynamic contouring – an advanced transient shaper. It combines advanced algorithms with intelligent design to add organic punch and musical precision to both individual tracks and complex mixes. More Contour With PUNCH
The aim of PUNCH is to create a sonic presence for individual sounds, tracks, groups or entire mixes, from subtle accentuation to assertive compression effects. The innovative technology of this new plugin sets it apart from conventional transient shapers. It delivers convincing results even when other tools reach their limits with highly compressed audio material.
At the heart of PUNCH is the use of several advanced algorithms called CRYSTAL and SMOOTH, which are based on up to one hundred (!) precisely configured filter bands. These allow you to finely control the attack and release times, creating both crisp transients and smooth dynamic transitions.
Innovative Dynamic Processing for Powerful and Organic Sound
The BIAS function also allows easy frequency adjustment, supported by visual displays for intuitive sound shaping. These features make the plugin truly versatile for sound designers, both for individual sounds and entire mixes, offering creative ways to correct over-compression or emphasise specific frequency ranges.
In addition to sound shaping, PUNCH offers a transparent, oversampling clipper for clean signal limiting. With support for up to 16 audio channels, the plugin is also suitable for immersive audio formats, making it a perfect fit for modern production workflows. The fully vectorised user interface offers a scalable display that seamlessly adapts to different working environments. With optional 64-bit processing, PUNCH delivers exceptionally high audio fidelity without increasing latency, which is particularly beneficial for live applications.

I bought the pre-beta version myself a few days ago and I’m really impressed with what I can get out of my audio with PUNCH. And without any artefacts. If you’ve ever wanted to get your hands on a transient shaper, you should definitely take a look at this plugin. It’s worth it!
