Pure707 emulates the sounds of a specific Roland drum machine
Monade has released a sample-based plug-in called Pure707. They say it’s based upon the 1985 Roland TR-707 Rhythm Composer and we have no reason to doubt them. But there’s also more to it that than.
Pure707
All the sampling was done at 24 bit, 44.1 kHz and the library works purely with the resultant uncompressed wave files. These files were the resampled through a load of old gear to create 24 additional and perhaps more daring kits. Among them was the Akai MPC60, an old PC computer, the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) & Sega Master System soundchips and various tube amplifiers.
The plug-in also features a compressor and 16 audio outputs.
The original 707 was used by artists such as Aphex Twin, Laurent Garnier, Squarepusher, Luke Vibert, Freddy Fresh, Phil Collins, Marshall Jefferson, Plastikman and many more!
