QUN Pocket Synthesizer analog modelling and open source
Nunomo has put together the QUN Pocket Synthesizer as a fun mini music machine with a surprising amount of power.
QUN Pocket Synthesizer
It’s based on technology originally designed for Smart Speakers and contains a remarkable analog modelling engine that they’ve made from scratch. It has 2 oscillators, 4 envelope generators, an LFO and an “organic” sounding multi-mode filter. FM is fully developed with 4 operators for each oscillator. There’s a couple of effects and the output has a bit of overdrive.
The modulation routing is very versatile and they say it gives it some real modular character. There is an external input which can either be used for an audio input or for CV control.
It has a sequencer which can be randomised, scaled and arpeggiated and a looper which can record up to 30 secs in sync with the sequencer. It’s all completely MIDI controllable.

It’s a groovy little synth that’s a steal at $85.
