Building an acoustically treated vocal booth is no easy task, but the benefit of having an isolated environment makes it extremely worthwhile for a wide range of recording applications.

If you’re looking to record vocals or speech for music, voiceover, and ADR, the Isolation Booth from t.akustik reduces the SPL by 27dB. Even recording a guitar amp cabinet could be tackled without aggravating your neighbours.

The booth stands just under 2.3 meters in height and its treated iso glass window measures 770 x 530 mm. What’s more, it does offer passive ventilation, but you can increase the airflow even further by fitting the optional t.akustik Isolation Booth Fan Module.

When in use, the Isolation Booth has 3 separate openings for routing your audio and power cables, as well as a built-in desk for your laptop, a monitor, or other compact instruments.

Its walls, door, and floor are constructed from melamine-coated MDF boards, while the ceiling consists of MDF, PET polyester boards, and magnetically mounted PET panels.

Overall, an Isolation Booth is an excellent investment for your studio setup, particularly if your audio production workflow relies on acoustic recording.
