Reverend debuts limited edition Sensei RT with added sparkle
Reverend has just announced a sparkly new limited edition of its Sensei RT guitar. I thought the existing range looked pretty tasty, but the sparkle finish looks even more inviting!
The Sensei RT Limited
This model now comes in one of five sparkly finishes: Lime, Black, Rock Orange, Purple and Aqua. And pretty stunning they are, too.
Korina
These guitars look even sweeter in these new eye-catching colour schemes. If the Sensei RT model is new to you, it’s worth taking a look at the specs of this guitar. It has a Korina body, with an offset, angular double cutaway. The three-piece set-in korina neck has a Pau Ferro fretboard loaded with 22 frets.
Bass Contour
The Sensei RT comes with Reverend humbuckers with a toaster-grille cover. I think this detail complements the sparkle finish very well. Now to the controls. There’s a Master volume (on a treble-bleed circuit) and Tone, as well as a bass contour knob. This is one of Reverend’s unique wiring schemes, featuring a bass contour control to let you dial in a wide range of tones. On top of full-on humbucker tones, these guitars also mimic single-coil sounds.
Bigsby & Boneite
This model comes with a Bigsby trem system factory installed, with a Reverend ‘Soft Touch’ spring. The headstock includes a set of pin-lock locking tuners. So tuning should be stable if you keep your Boneite nut well lubed.
I’ve found that the Reverend Soft Spring really does make a Bigsby trem system feel a lot smoother. Just remember to stretch your strings well and keep the nut slippery with something like Nut Sauce or graphite paste.
Limited Edition
All in all, I really like the look of this limited edition run. Those colours, I feel, really suit the overall aesthetic of the design. These limited editions are available to order now.
RRP: GBP 949

I really like Reverend guitars. These look sweet.
Looks much more exciting, and with a more reasonable price point, than Fender’s latest.
