REVV Tilt Boost is Shawn Tubbs signature pedal featuring Tilt EQ
New 'always-on' Boost pedal launched
The new REVV Amplification Tilt Boost is Shawn Tubbs’ signature pedal and features Tilt EQ. Designed to get great tone with no fuss and with an added 20dB of extra output.
Tilt Boost
Essentially the REVV Tilt Boost is just the boost side of Shawn Tubbs’ Signature Series Tilt Overdrive pedal. As he was asked by session players if they could try that original pedal, and the general consensus was that the boost side was also very good.
Therefore, the Canadian company decided to make it a standalone effect, as the Tilt Overdrive was also so well received by guitarists worldwide.
The original Tilt Overdrive features controls for Volume, Tone, Treble, Bass, Boost and Tilt EQ. Whereas the new Tilt Boost has a far simpler control layout.
Tilt EQ
In addition to the knob for the boost volume, there is also the eponymous Tilt EQ knob at the top. This tilts the frequency response instead of only lifting or lowering certain bands. Essentially users have a control that simultaneously increases treble and decreases bass, or vice versa.
Then there is the Drive switch that adds a fat clipping sound based on Tubbs’ favourite Tilt Overdrive setting and the three-position Tight switch dials in low-end, keeping everything in place.
This pedal is described as an always-on effect, and it sounds pretty good in the demo below. I’m guessing that these will reach dealers very soon.
MSRP – USD 169
