Revvision Cabinet by REVV: A New Way to Perform
LED panels in amp cabs?
The Revvision Cabinet hopes to set new standards for live performances. 4×12 cabinets, combined with LED panels. Cool or confusing? Let’s find out a bit more.
REVVISION CABINET
Immediately, REVV wants you to know that this is not just a speaker. This new box doesn’t need to replace your existing cabs. So, what’s the big deal? The Revvision Cabinet is made of sturdy birch wood, so it should survive on tour. Moreover, with all those LEDs, it’s ideal for indoor events. Showcasing bright and vibrant colours to grab the attention of the audience.
The Cabinet itself has 9 LED panels. Each of which are 250mm x 250mm. The square boxes are arranged in three various configurations and refresh at a reasonable rate of 3840Hz. Overall, any visuals will be smooth and crisp, transforming your stage presence.
Connectivity
This remarkable idea comes with Resolume Software, allowing you to control and present your visuals however your wish. Moreover, Arena & Avenue’s intuitive workflow makes mixing, adjusting and syncing your content to the Revvision Cabinet nice and easy.
Plus, you can animate your playback parameters or create complex effects routings as you go. Therefore, giving you the ability to edit exactly how you wish.

Verdict
Firstly, the REVV Cabinet will cost $2,500, and is only available directly from the manufacturer. It’s quite a pricey unit if I’m honest. However, I can see these units being used by wedding and party bands. Whether they’re wanting to display their logo, or custom visuals for specific clients.
I wouldn’t call it a game changer, as how many gigs have you been to where there has been a display behind the band? But for smaller venues, it could be a great addition.
