If you’re not familiar with Session Recall, the software is designed to help you store and recall the settings of all the outboard gear in your studio. This includes 500-series modules, 19-inch rack gear, vintage gear, and even large-format SSL consoles.

Experimenting with different music gear is one thing, but consistency is important if you’re mixing, mastering, or producing an EP or album. While plug-in recall is something we take for granted, the range of hardware available with this feature remains limited.
Many professional analogue devices have been used with a set-and-forget philosophy in studios. However, Session Recall provides a convenient way to bridge the gap between these two worlds, bringing digital consistency to analogue workflows.
To streamline the way you work in each project, you can save the complete setup of multiple devices into sessions that can be recalled at any stage. Depending on how you prefer to work, these settings can be saved as individual device presets, tracks, or sessions.
Because most producers and engineers have preferred devices for tracking or mixing, you can also create templates to give you a starting point for each project. Furthermore, device settings can be copied from one device to another.
The preset manager offers intuitive methods of keeping things organized with categories, tags, and even audio samples. Meanwhile, there are also virtual patch cables for saving synthesizer patches and patchbay configurations.
The degree of customization offered is impressive, as you can add labels and stickers to individual devices as well as the ability to insert additional notes and photos into your sessions.
Overall, Session Recall is a very useful piece of software for a certain type of user. While it gives many hardware devices the ability to save and recall presets, it also adds another step to the process.

Session Recall is available directly from its official website. The software is free, but you pay for each individual device you use, which is a little scammy in my opinion, but go figure.
