SoundForce has updated their SFC-Mini hardware controller designed to give hands-on control over software Minimoogs such as the Arturia Mini V.

It’s a neat idea where rather than having a generic MIDI controller provide some tactile control over your software synths, SoundForce can provide a boutique hardware controller designed expressly for a specific software synth; in this case the Minimoog.

Once you’ve mapped the controls the SFC-Mini will help reinforce the illusion that you are using a real life synthesizer. SoundForce also does controllers for the Juno-60 and Prophet-5. These are still MIDI controllers and so you can use them with anything but connecting them to an emulated version of the synth they support makes for a fabulous controlling experience.

The V3 has an updated case design with hardwood side panels and now the configuration of the MIDI assignments can be customised in a new editor.

The SFC-Mini V3 is available now for €349.

These are very nice controllers but at a cost… Espceially if you can now get a real analog synth model D for 250 or 260 euros …
