Soyuz 023WB Wax Brass Bomblet
The 023WB is a large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone designed with a uniquely styled Wax Brass top surface around the unlacquered brass shell.
Its S23 capsule is a LOMO (Leningrad Optical Mechanical Association) version of the famous AKG CK12 with a triple-backplate design. In use, this results in a pleasing high-frequency range that can reduce vocal harshness.
In addition, the midrange is focussed and pronounced, while the low end is warm and round. With the toroidal transformer, the 023WB’s characteristics make it perfect for capturing the details of loud sources like bass drums, as well as guitar and bass cabinets.
The mic ships in a custom-fitted oak protective case with a shockmount and a 3-meter cable included. Overall, the mic has been created to embody the magic of recording and is sure to become a favourite in your mic locker.
