Sourcerer allows you to isolate the problem areas of your recording or live environment easily, starting with its sidechain high-pass and low-pass filters to set the frequency range.
This is an important aspect of how Sourcerer works because the threshold, depth, and release settings are linked to the sidechain signal path, as it triggers the processing according to the detection mode active (Peak or RMS).
Both internal and external sidechain signals can be used, and you can audition the sidechain signal and monitor its spectrum behind the main signal on the feedback meter.
In addition, there are three release time settings and an intuitive ducking mode for environments where there is constant background noise.
Once you’ve activated and expanded the ducking section, you can then dial in your makeup gain and add a delay between the two signals. This can be done precisely in milliseconds, seconds, meters, feet, or samples.
