Old Blood Noise Endeavors has just opened pre-orders for its Dweller Phase Repeater pedal. As phasers go, this new pedal looks interesting.

Phase Control

The Dweller Phase Repeater has both four- and eight-stage phasing available via a toggle switch. Sin, triangle, and random step shapes are available. There are knobs for controlling Rate, Depth, Mix and Regen, which will increase the intensity of the effect. Where it gets interesting is the Stretch control; this controls the delay time inside each of the phaser stages.

Expression

You can control that last Stretch parameter remotely via an external control pedal. This makes it a pretty expressive parameter and one you can tweak easily, on the fly, with your foot. I wouldn’t have expected a plain, regular phaser from these guys, anyway. Be prepared for something a little more ‘off the wall’ with this one. Its sound mixes elements like time stretching, repeats and a sort of elasticity.

The Dweller Phase Repeater has relay bypass switching and will run from a regular 9V centre negative power supply. You can place a pre-order now via their website (see link below). OBNE reckons it will be ready for shipping on 6th August, so not too long to wait.

This is a wonderful pedal that can sound like nothing else. I love placing it before fuzz or dirt. Old Blood makes wonderful gear.
