Summer NAMM 2019: Squier Starcaster officially announced
Classic Vibe, Contemporary Active or Affinity Series?
I let the cat out of the bag last month when I found that a load of US dealers had accidentally published news of the Squier Starcaster before the official launch. Now, a month later, these models have been announced at Summer NAMM, providing us with some specs and prices.
The Squier Starcaster comes in Classic Vibe, Contemporary Active and Affinity Series flavours, each with a slightly different specification. I’m not a huge fan of lots of model variant names, but Fender/Squier thinks this is the way forward.
Classic Vibe
The Classic Vibe Starcaster models come fitted with Fender-designed Wide Range humbuckers, a set of period-correct headstock markings, vintage-tint gloss neck finish, a 3-Tone Sunburst, Natural or Walnut finish and nickel hardware.
RRP – USD 399
