Superbooth 2018: Retrokits RK-005 multiple USB MIDI merge box
Retrokits make the sort of MIDI utilities that no one has thought of before that appear to be face-palm slappingly useful. The latest is the RK-005 which can act as a USB MIDI interface for computers or iOS devices.
RK-005
But its cleverness comes from the ability to take multiple USB MIDI devices and merge them through a hub to control another single MIDI device. It can convert between MIDI data types like CC to SysEx via autosensing technology. It has a Gate output on the top to send clock to another device. It can be a host or a client and work in different ways. So plug in a few controllers and get busy with your iPad apps or introduce your USB MIDI devices to old-school MIDI hardware.
Pricing should be around £100 and it will be available soon.
