At Superbooth 2018, synth and effects developer U-He demonstrated a pair of new plug-ins in the works. These are the Colour Copy delay and an unnamed spring reverb. They exist separate from the Uhbik effects suite.

Colour Copy is a Stereo delay with the typical set of controls, a B&W display showing the two sides of the signal, and three interesting sections underneath. There’s a built-in ducking compressor with adjustable threshold and attack (Fast/Slow), Colour knobs – Type, Tone, Intensity – and five Modulation knobs controlling an LFO. The delay reminds us of Native Instruments’ Replika in terms of layout and functionality, although the concept is different – we are yet to learn more about how the different ‘colors’ of U-He’s product sound, though.

The spring reverb is no less interesting. There are different types of spring reverb, an adjustable Shake slider, built-in overdrive; adjustable Decay, Tension, and Density properties. The amplifier and filter section can work before or after the delay, and the LFO has no less than seven selectable waveforms. Overall, there’s plenty of potential in U-He’s new effects, not to mention those gorgeous interfaces!

There’s no official information about the price and release date of these plug-ins. Such details likely haven’t been decided upon yet. We’ll keep you posted with more data should it surface.
