Superbooth 2019: Enjoy Electronics Reminder desktop effects box
Newcomers Enjoy Electronics has put together a rather tasty looking desktop effects processor called Reminder. They say it’s all about echo but actually, there’s a lot more going on here.
Reminder
This desktop box appears to have 4 sections. From left to right you have a dual filter bank with low and high pass modes, pre or post the delay. Then there’s the huge “Power Delay” section which runs a Double Pulse Delay in true stereo with each side being independent. Apparently you can capture audio in the delay buffer and manipulate it in various ways. Next is the “Freeverb” which includes a high pass filter. Rounding it off is a multiple wave LFO with drive. On the back you have two stereo outputs and a stereo input, MIDI, USB and two foot controller inputs.
It looks phenomenal but I’m struggling a little bit to get a handle on the details. The outputs are quadraphonic so you can direct signal to the four outputs as front-left, front-right, back-left and back-right. It can use low latency USB audio which means, I assume, that you can route to and from your DAW.
The device itself looks beautiful and is certainly an elegant way to bring some hardware effects into your setup. There’s a video on their website which gives some idea about the functionality although it looks like an older version. It should be priced at €600.
