SUPERBOOTH21 – with the SOOPERGrail show for guitarists and bassists – announced!
New shows announced for 2021
The new SOOPERGrail Guitar Show has been announced for next year! What was once the Holy Grail Show in Berlin, Germany is now being run by the SUPERBooth team who have given it a new name. Both the SUPERBooth and SOOPERgrail events will be taking strict precautions in light of the coronavirus pandemic.
SUPERBOOTH21
After this year’s virtual SUPERBOOTH20, the event should hopefully go back to its roots in the FEZ (Berlin) for 2021. There will be new adaptations due to COVID-19 and a strict hygiene schedule that is currently still in the approval phase, but should be ready in time for the event.
Due to the large outdoor area, most events and workshops will take place outdoors. Another plus for a flawless implementation. A fourth day of the fair will mainly be available for exhibitors, the press, and invited guests. This enables a lively exchange between all parties and gives the show a special character.
SOOPERGrail Guitar Show
For the last few years, guitar builders and synthesiser manufacturers from all over Europe have been meeting regularly at separate events. For 2021, the two are getting together, which means the SUPERBooth and SOOPERGrail shows will run back to back.
“We as the organizer (SUPERBOOTH Berlin GmbH) are looking forward to the coming year and see the current situation in the world as a real challenge and an opportunity. With the friendly support of the European Guitar Builders eV, we now see the unique opportunity to show that even for successful trade fair events it is not about quantity, but about quality. ” – Mr Schneider
Attendance & COVID
There will be 150 exhibitors in attendance at SUPERBOOTH21 and a further 90 for the SOOPERgrail side of the show. No more than 500 visitors are allowed at any one time in the building. Through a smart swap system, this number will be doubled daily, meaning a maximum number of 4000 visitors for SUPERBOOTH21 and 1000 for SOOPERgrail.
It certainly is an interesting time for an exhibition of this sort, with most shows going virtual to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 virus. For example, we recently found out that Winter NAMM 2021 will be a virtual event for the first time ever.
Synths & Strings
Having the two shows together makes a lot of sense and it will be good to see all those luthiers and guitar makers showing off their work alongside all the synths. Plus, it will make for a more varied and interesting show for all musicians, as it should have a little of something for everyone. A few of my luthier friends have been exhibitors at the Holy Grail Show the last few years and I know they all really enjoyed the experience. So to pair it up with SUPERBooth I think is a smart move.
There will also be exciting live performances, workshops and lectures here. The idea behind it was forged long before Corona, so that the upcoming event would have taken place in this way anyway. A really great thing that will certainly be as successful as the SUPERBOOTH.
The site for the new SOOPERGrail Guitar Show as yet does not have any real information, but at least we have some official dates.
Show Dates – April 30 to May 2 2021 FEZ Berlin
