Synthetic Sound Labs upgrades the Mini Sequencer for Moog Unit Modular
SSL has released the Model 1651 Mini Sequencer II an upgrade on their Model 1650 with a decent list of new features.
Mini Sequencer II
We saw their Buchla version in June last year and this continues to trend of working with Division-6 to bring an easily accessible and space-conscious sequencer to the larger modular formats. The Model 1651 is for /5U/MU modular and is 2 MU wide.
In this new version, you now have 7 sequence memories and 5 song memories for strings of sequences. Steps can now slur without retriggering and there are variable gate timings including ratcheting. Programming has been improved with auto-step advancement, live editing, better accent control and a new live transpose function.
For outputs you get CV, Gate and Accent along with Clock in and out, Start in and End out.
It’s a really neat solution for a quick 16 step sequence. Those step buttons are rather nice and the whole thing is remarkably compact for an MU module. You can chain a number of Mini Sequencers together to create longer and more complex sequences.
The Model 1651 Mini Sequencer II is available now for $325.

There’s no demo video of the new version as yet but this video on the 1650 should give you a flavour and also remind you how large MU/5U modular actually is.

It’s for 5U/MU format, not Moog Modular- it uses the Synth.com power header.
Ok, thank you, getting free and easy with the facts there, sorry.
