Built from absorbent PET polyester (25 mm thick), this mobile version of the Vocal Head Booth offers a slightly more lightweight solution, making it easier to transport. Whether you’re a voice-over artist or an opera singer, not everyone has access to a room where they can record and rehearse.
Moreover, it’s often the case that the room in our house that we’ve designated as our music room could sound better. The Vocal Head Booth mobile is a straightforward solution that isolates your microphone and vastly reduces the reflectivity we usually pick up when recording with condenser mics at home.
There are some wonderful denoiser plug-ins available these days, but this is an additional expense. Furthermore, professional recording engineers always stress the importance of optimizing the sound at its source rather than trying to correct it after recording.
The Vocal Head Booth mobile weighs just over 7 kg and fits onto any standard PA speaker stand with a 35 mm fitting. Inside, there is a fitting for your mic’s shock mount, as well as an LED light and a magnetic holder for your lyrics sheet or recording notes.
Also included, is a convenient aluminium rod for mounting a pop filter, and a headphone holder so your headphones are always within reach. Overall, the Vocal Head Booth mobile is easy to assemble and install, and the back plate encloses the booth when you’re ready to record.
