The new t.bone SYNC 2 Pro from Thomann is a low-cost alternative to premium wireless sets like the Rode Wireless PRO. The wireless set lets you record sound for videos, vlogs, interviews, and other situations that require wireless transmission.

The t.bone SYNC 2 Pro is pretty compact, so it’s just as suitable as its competitors’ products for a range of mobile applications. This set is all about making recording interviews, videos, and vlogs simple. It includes two transmitters and one receiver, about the same size. Using the clip, you can easily attach each transmitter to your clothing or to a belt.

Each module is just 52 x 42 x 17 millimeters, so they’re all pretty unnoticeable. In addition, a single transmitter only weighs 39 grams, which is very light. You can even fit the SYNC 2 Pro on a flash shoe.

Built-in mic, optional noise-cancelling, and more

Each transmitter in the T.bone SYNC 2 Pro set has a built-in microphone. You can also connect an external microphone via a 3.5 mm TRS jack. SYNC 2 Pro promises distortion-free transmission, and the set can be used either in stereo or mono. Each transmitter also includes a switchable noise-canceling filter.

The system operates at 2.4 GHz and offers a range of up to 200 meters within sight and up to 50 meters without a line of sight. The manufacturer lists latency at 20 ms. Furthermore, the built-in batteries last up to 8 hours and charge in about 2 hours. The charging case, which also has USB-C, has a lithium battery, so you’re all set for mobile use. Each module comes with a TFT display that is easy to use, and features like auto-pairing. You can also monitor during recording with the headphone output on the receiver.

How much does the t.bone SYNC 2 Pro set cost?

Each set includes two transmitters, one receiver, two additional external lav mics with windshields, two pop filters, two synthetic fur windshields, two clamps for the lav mics, a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging, a USB-C to USB-A adapter, a charging case, a 3.5 mm TRS to TRS camera spiral cable, and a 3.5 mm TRS to TRRS phone cable.
