TC Electronic teases classic 2290 digital delay – as a guitar pedal!
TC Electronic yesterday posted some mock-up images on Facebook of what a TC 2290 Digital Delay could look like as a floor pedal. But the design isn’t locked in yet, as TC has asked the hive mind for input.
TC Electronic 2290 Delay Mockup
The classic 2290 delay unit was a studio rack mount delay and is revered in audio geek circles as being one of the best of its kind. Danish humour is obviously quite twisted, as now TC Electronic has put up on Facebook not one, but two mockups of what a reissued version of the 2290 might look like. But as a floor pedal!
GAS 1-11
TC has asked for opinions from the world of Facebook on what people think. The post is entitled: “Truth be told, we were planning on waiting until the year 2290, but ehm… on a GAS scale of 1 to 11, how’d you guys rate this prospect?”
Yeah, I would buy one and I reckon that a few hundred thousand other guitarists would as well. So let us cross our fingers and hope that one day this thing actually goes into production. But ideally way before the year 2290, as I’ll be long dead by then!
Would you consider investing in one of these? How much would you pay? Let us know in the comments below.
