Ortho Remote
Funky and colourful web-apps aside the Ortho Remote is a Bluetooth wireless dial designed for use with the Teenage Engineering OD-11 wireless loudspeaker. Ortho Remote is completely compatible with iOS, MacOS and Android and can provide remote dial action for a whole range of music apps.
It is also BLE-MIDI compatible and so can be mapped as a wireless MIDI controller so something like the OP-Z or any other MIDI device.
They say the batteries will last for a couple of years, it has a non-slip silicone bottom and dual neodynium magnets.
It looks a lot like the Microsoft Surface Dial. It’s one of those things that’s a great and cool idea that doesn’t really provide you with any advantages once you have one, Looks nice, does what it says but considering you’ll already have the orthoplay remote software installed on your phone to control the OD-11 then really who can be bothered?
The Ortho Remote costs £79 an is available from the Teenage Engineering online store.
