Klanghelm TENS Jr.: Classic Spring Reverb for your DAW
Klanghelm’s new plugin TENS (€24) features models of five different spring reverbs manufactured by AKG in the 1970s and 80s. Check out the full version here. For all you freeware lovers out there, they’ve been kind enough to make one of these models available for free with TENS Jr. Modeled after tank A of the AKG BX5, a rackmount stereo spring reverb released in 1980, this free plugin will add some nostalgic springy reverb sparkle to your tracks. You can adjust the decay time (extended to 0.5-20 seconds), dial in just the right amount of pre-delay, and adjust the dry/wet mix. TENS Jr. also offers a character slider for manipulating the reverb sound from warm to bright. Nice!
TENS Jr. is available for macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, and AAX formats.

Notonik SUBS
If you produce trap, hip hop, or other bass-heavy styles, you’re going to love SUBS by Notonik. This free plugin contains 30 hard-hitting sub bass sounds from the upcoming Notonik v2 plugin. Simply select the preset you want, adjust the attack and release envelopes, and add distortion with the big knob in the center (which can also help to bring out the bass on small speakers). In addition to a chorus effect, SUBS offers a built-in filter. There’s even a glide control for those tasty slides. From massive 808s to funky house basses to smooth sub bass lines – SUBS will take your bottom end to the next level.
