The best Drum & e-Drum Deals in September
70 years of Thomann – what’s it all about?
Thomann has been Europe’s biggest distributor for all things musical instruments for quite some time now. This year, Thomann turns 70. Starting in March 2024, new drum deals, e-drum deals, cymbal deals, and more will be revealed monthly to celebrate the occasion. So, let’s check out what July has in store!
We’ve selected the best offers and specials for you and split them up between zones. That’s why you’ll find several articles on the subject on Gearnews. But it’s worth taking a look directly at Thomann*. And now, let’s take a look at the best Thomann drum deals!
Save over 20 percent on these drum kits from DW
Let’s start with one of the smallest bass drums, I’ve seen in a drum kit in a while. It’s as big as my floor tom! The name might give it away: DW DW Design Mini Pro 16*. It comes in Satin Black, and besides the 16-inch bass drum, you also get a 10-inch tom, a 13-inch floor tom and 12-inch snare. This kit fits in my bathroom! Starting today, this kit is 22 percent off at Thomann.
If you’re looking for a bigger kit with a rockier sound, Performance Standard* in Black Sparkle from DW might be for you. It’s 18 percent off at Thomann starting today; you’ll get four shells (22″x18″ bass drum, 16″x14″ floor tom, 10″x08″and 12″x09″ toms) made of cherry wood.
Be quick! These drum deals only last until September 10, 2024!
As usual, Thomann also lowers the prices for a couple of new products each month during its birthday promotion, only for a short time. These drum deals only last until September 10, 2024! For example, if you buy one of the two most popular bass drum heads, Evans EMAD 20 and EMAD 22 during this limited time, you’ll get an Evans 14″ Genera HDD Coated Snare head for free!
There is also a 14″x5,5″ Snare Performance Maple from DW available at 14 percent off. And for the percussionist, there is the SFDJ-9RP 9″ Freestyle Djembe from Toca at 10 percent off, and the HWP-830 Hardware Set from Pearl ar 14 percent off until September 10.
Older e-Drum deals and drum deals from Thomann’s 70th anniversary celebration
There is also one of the best e-drum deals, there has ever been. Well, that might be a bit of exaggeration, but over 25 percent off for a compact drum computer that kind of quietly reinvented finger drumming had to be mentioned!
We’re of course talking about the Yamaha FGDP-50 Finger Drum Pad*. It comes with 48 Preset Kits and 1500 sounds, a rechargeable battery, and a built-in speaker. And it’s got this unique pad layout that’s bound to make you finger drum like crazy!
These drum deals are still running from last few rounds. It might not be in everyone’s budget, but the savings are pretty sweet: get 34 percent off with the DW Exotic Super Curly Maple Kit at Thomann*. It has one hundred percent North American Maple 6-ply Maple shells, True Pitch 50 tuning rods, and that DW sound. In addition, a Performance Std. Black Sparkle* from DW is also available at a reduced price, as well as a Sonor AQ2 Bop Set – even better than last month’s e-drum deals!
Speaking of Tama and DW, there are two pretty sweet deals on snares from these manufacturers. The Tama 14″x6,5″ Starclassic SPF model is 8 percent off. While you can save a staggering 25 percent with the 14″x6,5″ Design Aluminium Snare Drum from DW.
And Thomann has partnered with Istanbul Mehmet, makers of some of the finest cymbals in the business. Together, they’re introducing the IMC 70th Anniversary Cymbal Set with some of the best cymbals from Istanbul Mehmets popular IMC series.
Even better than the e-drum deals: Save big with these drum accessories
This month in drum accessories deals, Thomann has two offers worth mentioning, both only valid until July 10, 2024 – so be quick! First of all, the Overtone Labs Tune Bot Gig Drum Tuner*, one of the best drum tuning devices out there, is down by 17 percent! In addition, if you buy a Snareweight M80 magnetic Overtone Damper* in the next 10 days, you’ll get a Snareweight M1 magnetic Overtone Damper for free!
For these deals, you’ll get a reduced price as long as supplies last. Thomann has also lowered prices for some of the most popular drum pedals. For example, Pearl’s P-2102C Eliminator Drum Pedal has not been available for a while, but now is your chance! Furthermore, save up to 40 percent for hardware from DW! That’s way more than the e-drum deals from May!

Gearnews is looking more and more like a Thomann website. I understand why, but it’s better to make it a bit less obvious. The direction this website is going is starting to lose appeal (at least for me).
Maybe don’t click on the links that have the words ‘Deals’ and ‘Thomann’?
They’ve got to pay the bills I guess, and I appreciate the news and articles that the site produces enough to not be deterred by the ads.
