About the Updates:
FL Studio 2024.2 Update
Among the new features is a new real-time looper plug-in called Transporter, which brings a fluid way to build transitional effects or help you creatively with your arrangement process. Meanwhile, you can also hot-swap and audition sounds from the FL Cloud library in real time.

FL Studio 2024.1 features CLAP, a Chord Generator, and a Lofi Synth
The latest version of Image-Line FL Studio is now called 2024.1, which now features the CLAP plug-in standard and a few new instruments.
CLAP, Chord Generator, and Kepler EXO in FL Studio 2024.1
The beta phase has been lengthy, but today you can download FL Studio 2024.1 from Image-Line. For current license holders, this is a free update, as per usual. Although the CLAP plug-in format is now supported, we can’t expect quite the same level of modulation features offered in Bitwig Studio.
This is disappointing, but it’s still a move in the right direction, as we never know when Steinberg could make sudden changes to the VST terms of use. Meanwhile, Image-Line has added the tasty new Kepler EXO softsynth to the ranks. This gives you a lo-fi sound engine based on classics like the Roland Juno and Jupiter synthesizers.
Furthermore, there’s a useful new Chord Progression Tool for generating new chord ideas or extending existing ones. Overall, it’s a nice new update, particularly for those looking to do Pop or Synthwave production.
FL Cloud boasts a sound library of royalty-free loops and one-shot samples, as well as exclusive Artist curated content from well-known users. Moreover, you now have access to AI-assisted mastering and digital distribution for your tracks.
FL Studio 21
[Update October 26 2023] You’ve probably heard of or worked with FL Studio. Developed from the original “Fruity Loops” DAW, 25 years on FL Studio 21 has become a major DAW in the marketplace.
With FL Studio 21 the developers, Image Line, aim to give you the ‘fastest way from your brain to your speakers‘. When it was launched in December 2022, FL Studio 21 brought with it faster and more precise audio editing, improved content discovery, control over the mood of the DAW and even more inspirational, creative tools.
Now there’s a new update in the shape of FL Studio 21.2
21.2 Update
This is made possible through the Image Line partnership with DistroKid, providing distribution on all major platforms. Meanwhile, the 21.2 Update also adds Stem Separation, allowing you to isolate and extract individual elements from mixed audio tracks.
Stem Separation is a powerful feature for FL Studio, a DAW already renowned for the quality of its sampling engines, and this expands the workflow for even greater creative potential.
Another addition is the Kepler 80s-style analogue synth plug-in, with its authentic “coloured waveform” function and a powerful virtual-analogue synthesis engine.
Fruity Edition users will be thrilled with the new Audio Clips feature, which integrates the FL Cloud library so you can add up to 8 audio clips into your arrangement with slicing and editing capabilities.
Pricing and Availability
The FL Studio 21.2 update is free to all current license holders, and available directly from Image Line. FL Cloud’s new paid features are available on the $7.99 monthly or $79.99 annual subscription plans.
What’s more, Image-Line is offering an introductory annual subscription fee of $49.99, and all current and new users can sign up for a one-month free FL Cloud Trial period. FL Cloud paid content can also be bought with Credit Packs, so all users can access artist-curated content.
