The new BC Rich Gunslinger II Prophecy is a neck-thru 80s rock machine
Single humbucker, neck-thru '80s-style shredder!
The new BC Rich Gunslinger II Prophecy models are coming! These neck-thru shredders have plenty of ’80s style, with single humbuckers and some pretty hot colours. Let’s take a closer look at the specs.
BC Rich Gunslinger II Prophecy
The new Gunslinger II Prophecy models from BC Rich, a brand synonymous with shredder-style guitars, is a single humbucker guitar with a neck-thru design and a locking trem system. Essentially, it’s an ’80s rock machine, available in some sweet colours that are reminiscent of the era.
’80s Shredder
The guitar has an alder body with a thru-maple neck, which has 22 jumbo frets and offset square inlays. The neck features the company’s Shredzilla 6-Inline neck profile. You have a Floyd Rose 1000 locking trem system, and the single humbucker is a DiMarzio Super Distortion which has a single volume control with push/pull function for voice selection.
Hardware
Other hardware includes a set of Grover 18:1 tuners on the reverse headstock and a set of Dunlop Original Straploks, to keep it falling off your guitar strap. So some nice hardware and a very ’80s pickup choice for these models.
I do enjoy a single humbucker guitar as they can be lots of fun to play with. And I also like the colour choices a lot. You can choose from either Candy Apple Red, Green Pearl, Orange Pearl or Black finishes. The models are all made in Indonesia which helps keep the price point down. I think the hardware choices are pretty decent and I am looking forward to hear what players think of them.
