Sterling from Music Man is the company’s more affordable range compared to Ernie Ball Music Man models. The rumors have been around for a long time, and now the Sterling signatures are here: Tosin Abasi’s Kaizen, Rabea Massaad’s Sabre, and Ryan ‘Fluff’ Bruce’s StingRay!
Sterling By Music Man Signatures NAMM 2025
Tosin Abasi’s Monstrous Kaizen for Under 1k!
The original was a pretty crazy piece of guitar in terms of design, but it also came at a pretty crazy price. So it’s particularly good news that Kaizen has now been added to the Sterling by Music Man range in six—and seven-string versions! Even Tosin Abasi is pleased!
But with a price difference this big, some corners have been cut. For example, the multi-scale Infinity Radius fretboard and Steinberger Locking Gearless tuners are missing. But the body’s futuristic design alone is still magnificent—and not just for fans of Animals as Leaders!
The pickups are a pair of SBMM humbuckers and they can be switched and combined via a three-way switch. There are also volume and tone controls and a tremolo bridge. As for colour options, there is a metallic purple and a black version. And now for the biggest highlight: the price. The RRP for the six-string model is $849, and $899 for the seven-string.
Rabea Massaad’s Sabre Gets the Sterling Treament
The sterling version of Rabea Massaad’s signature was expected for quite a while. After the Ernie Ball version was introduced at NAMM 2024, the more affordable alternative of the YouTuber and Vower guitarist’s signature is now coming.
The Sterling Sabre will be available on grained maple veneer in two rather reserved colors, namely Ashen Burst and Blood Flame Burst. Just like the Ernie Ball version, Rabea also places great emphasis on the ergonomics of the ST-style body of the Sterling Sabre. The typical ring inlays and Luminlay side dots are visual highlights.
The Sterling version includes two Alnivo V humbuckers, a tremolo bridge much like the Tobin Abasi. In comparison, the signature also includes coil splitting and a five-way switch. The model retails for $899.
Sterling StingRay
Ryan ‘Fluff’ Bruce of YouTube channel ‘Riffs, Beards & Gear’ fame has a signature model with Ernie Ball and that model also will also be Stering-y-fied. The model will be available in the colors Amana Boat Blue or Rula Thumb Red. For pickups, the guitar includes a Seymour Duncan Trembucker at the bridge, and a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. at the neck (made of roasted maple). The models is priced at 879 USD.

The Kaizen is really gorgeous, and the ONLY guitar on NAMM that can use the word “innovative” in the description.
