UA gives away plug-ins and DSP accelerators for Apollo interface purchasers
Universal Audio has a pair of Christmas offers that will net Apollo Twin and Rack buyers some quality plug-ins and DSP hardware for free. Between October 1 and December 31, customers who purchase(d) and register(ed) a new Apollo Twin interface (USB or Thunderbolt) will get free plug-ins simulating gear by Neve, Fairchild, Lexicon, and UA!
More specifically, Apollo Twin QUAD buyers will get the Neve 1073 Preamp & EQ Collection, Fairchild Tube Limiter Plug-In Collection, Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb, and UA’s Oxide Tape Recorder. Buyers of the Apollo Twin DUO will miss out on the Lexicon reverb, and purchasing the Apollo Twin SOLO only nets you the Fairchild plug-ins – which are still a nice $299 value and sound like you’d expect Fairchild gear to sound. The latter is valid for all simulations, for they are faithful recreations designed in close collaboration with the companies that originally made them.
As for the rackmounts, getting an Apollo 8, 8p, 16, or FireWire interface will also bring you a free UAD-2 Satellite DSP accelerator. The 8p or 16 interfaces come with the OCTO DSP model, the 8 DUO or QUAD interfaces have the QUAD DSP model, and the FireWire interface gets the FireWire DSP Accelerator. The more powerful the unit, the more UA plug-ins you can throw onto your mix, in addition to those already handled by the interfaces’ built-in DSP chips.
Once more, the offers are valid for interfaces bought between October 1 and December 31. Your newly purchased unit must come from an authorized dealer such as Thomann and be registered before January 1, 2018 for you to take advantage.
