UAD introduces the Electra 88 and Capitol Compressor plugins
UAD has launched 2 new plugins in the form of the Electra 88 Vintage Keyboard Studio and the Capitol Mastering Compressor. Let’s take a look at each of them and find out where they fit into your workflow.
The UAD plug-ins are far a more exciting prospect now that they are available natively for users of any DAW system without requiring DSP hardware as they once did before.
UAD Electra 88 Vintage Keyboard Studio
With the Electra 88 plug-in, you get the sound of the 1974 Rhodes Eighty Eight Suitcase Mark 1 electric piano and a range of vintage-modeled production tools.
From legendary mics, amps, and rotary cabinets to classic effects pedals and dynamics processors, you can sculpt your favourite sound to perfection all within Electra’s detailed interface.
Each of the 100 presets provides macro controls which you can access over the four sections. These include the Keyboard, Pedals, Amplifier, and Studio pages, each giving you access to the controls in their respective areas.
Until May 31, you can get the Electra 88 at an introductory offer of 50% off.
Capitol Mastering Compressor
UAD has modeled the famous CM5511 compressor, a custom tube-based mastering compressor designed for Capitol’s four mastering rooms, inspired by the Fairchild 670 and Gates Sta‑Level.
The Capitol Compressor plugin has been created for mastering purposes, with features like stereo/dual-mono/MS operation, sidechain HPF, headroom control, and a mono fold filter up to 200 Hz.
However, you can also use it on channel groups or even individual tracks if you like. The saturation circuit will sweeten guitars, vocals, drums, or any instrument that could use some extra clarity and punch.
Until May 31, you can get the Capitol Compressor at an introductory offer of 50% off.
