Christmas has finally arrived. And that means the last GEARNEWS XMAS raffle has started (free to enter, of course). We look back on the last few weeks’ competitions and the fantastic response from you, and say thank you to you, our readers, with these promotions!
This week we have a big package from Universal Audio under the Christmas tree. It includes the Universal Audio Volt 2 USB Recording Studio audio interface and the UAFX Orion Tape Echo and UAFX Heavenly Plate Reverb effects pedals.
Universal Audio Volt 2 USB Recording Studio
Universal Audio’s Volt 2 USB audio interface is designed for singers, songwriters, guitarists and content creators who want to make professional audio recordings quickly and easily. Universal Audio’s Orion Tape Echo emulates the legendary sound of the Maestro Echoplex EP-III tape echo from the 1970s. It combines warm analogue tape delay effects with the legendary EP-III preamp, which adds punch and characteristic saturation to the sound. Three different types of tape – mint, worn and old – plus the Wonk control offer organic modulation and versatile sound options, from clean repeats to experimental textures.
The Heavenly Plate Reverb Pedal brings the sound of 1950s studio plate reverbs to any pedalboard in a compact package. Based on the award-winning algorithms of the Golden Reverberator, the pedal delivers dense reverb textures that faithfully capture the character of vintage German plate reverbs. Three different plate voicings – vintage bright, vintage dark and modern full – allow for warm, subtle rooms as well as spacious, floating reverbs. Pre-delay, EQ, modulation and rate controls allow you to quickly adjust the reverb sound. The sound is always authentic, regardless of the size or intensity of the reverb.

You may only enter the competition once – any attempt to enter more than once per competition will result in automatic disqualification. The prize is a Universal Audio Volt 2 USB recording studio, a UAFX Orion Tape Echo and a UAFX Heavenly Plate Reverb bundle.
All entrants who select the correct answer will be entered into the grand prize draw. A random generator will select one entry and the lucky winner will be notified by us (or the manufacturer) (shipping address will be requested by email). So please provide a working email address! Employees of GEARNEWS.com, all participating companies and their family members are excluded from the competition.
Your details will only be stored for the purposes of this competition and will not be passed on to third parties. There is no right of appeal and no cash alternative. The competition will run from Monday 23 December 2024 to Monday 6 January 2025 (16:59:59). Any answers received after this date will not be counted.
