The Victory VX Kraken MKII takes the popular tube 50-watt head designed in conjunction with Rabea Massaad and makes it even better.
VX Kraken MKII
This new VX Kraken MKII is Victory’s latest take on the ever-popular 50-watt tube amp head, which they designed with Rabea Massaad. It is available in Lunch Box or Compact Head formats.
Both versions are fully featured and offer bags of great tube tone. The Lunchbox Head is somewhat smaller and more compact. Whereas the Compact Head essentially has a wooden headshell and costs slightly more.
It uses 4 x 12AX7 preamp tubes, and 2 x 6L6 power output tubes as standard.

Versatile
It is a versatile tube head and can have the power knocked down to 9 watts for a more manageable tone at lower volumes.
There is also a series FX loop that can be completely removed from the circuit when bypassed. Perfect for both pedal fans and purists alike.

What’s New?
The amp is based around two gain channels, one for those classic British-inspired rhythm tones and the other for more American high-gain tones. It also features a new Clean mode to Gain I, which is foot-switchable or can be controlled by a three-way switch on the amp.
It features a presence control with a presence shift switch and assignable dual master volume.
Along with external rear bias outputs and a Gain I balance control. The presence control can be pushed all the way up to hear higher frequency sounds, or set to zero to achieve the tone of the original VX Kraken MK1.
