Victory Sheriff 25 and VS100 Super Sheriff: British ’60s Tube Tone
Classic '60s British Tube amp tones in multiple formats
Victory Amplification has just added the new Sheriff 25 and VS100 Super Sheriff amps to their popular British-voiced Sheriff lineup. Offering a 25-Watt head and combo, plus a 100-Watt head in two formats, offering something for everyone.
Sheriff 25
The new Victory Sheriff 25 is made in England and comes in both head and combo formats. This new model replaces the previous Sheriff 22. The 1×12 combo format of the Sheriff 25 comes loaded with a Celestion G12H anniversary 12″ speaker.
British ’60s Tones
This amp offers classic British 1960s-style blues and rock gain tones, along with a hot rod channel for even heavier gain tones. Thankfully, the ‘Vintage’ & ‘Hot Rod’ channels are foot-switchable.
It has external biasing points to make this relatively simple to re-tube and re-bias.
The Sheriff 25 comes fitted with EL86s as standard but can be biased to use 6L6, along with a range of other valves such as KT66, KT77, 6CA7 and 5881.
They also have the Bass focus and Presence switch for further tone sculpting. Controlling both the low-end feel and high-end brightness respectively.
MSRP – Sheriff 25 Head GBP 1199/ EUR 1399/ USD 1449 and Sheriff 25 Combo GBP 1899/ EUR 2229/ U 2229
VS100 Super Sheriff
Then there is the new VS100 Super Sheriff which replaces the old Sheriff 44 model. This is available in both a two deluxe a regular Victory-sized wooden head sleeve and a wide body design to match their 4×12 cabs.
This twin-channel amp is the flagship model and is aimed at working musicians. Both channels have two foot-switchable modes.
Two Power Modes
Again, this is a British voice and also offers the hot rod channel, along with a second mode that has even more gain if you need it. Though, it offers both 100 Watts in high power mode and 35 Watts in low power mode, so you can tame the beast.
A Presence switch offers two settings and Position Two sounds slightly brighter because it reduces negative feedback in the higher frequencies. On the rear panel, you’ll find a Depth control and this gives you either a tighter, more focused bottom end, or a looser and more resonant feel, depending on how you set the dial.
MSRP- VS100 Super Sheriff 100 GBP1999/ EUR 2329/ USD 2369 and VS100 Super Sheriff Wide Body GBP 2099/ EUR 2449/ USD 2499

One response to “Victory Sheriff 25 and VS100 Super Sheriff: British ’60s Tube Tone”
I know everything (music equipment particularly) is going insane with crazy prices. I also know that you pay quality and craftsmanship (I love Victory) but the price in Euros are simply too much…
