Vintage celebrates milestone with new limited edition 25th Anniversary Series
Celebrating 25 years in the business with three limited edition Silver Burst models
Vintage is celebrating with three new models, all in a silver burst finish, to commemorate a quarter of a century of building guitars. These 25th Anniversary Series guitars are well priced, and offer pro specifications for musicians that want the best bang for their buck.
Vintage 25th Anniversary Series
Twenty-five years in the business is certainly something to celebrate, and Vintage is doing exactly that. This new 25th Anniversary Series includes three models, all in a unique silver burst finish. These sleek looking guitars offer players a great instrument in a very cool look, with each model limited to just 100 guitars worldwide. Each guitar comes with a Vintage 25th Anniversary embroidered canvas gig bag, and an individually numbered certificate of authentication, along with a “25th” logo on the headstock.
Vintage 25th Anniversary Series V100 – Silver Burst
The 25th Anniversary Series V100 singlecut, like the other two, comes in a stunning Silver Burst finish reminiscent of the soon to be released Gibson Adam Jones signature model, but a lot more affordable, for sure. This model comes fitted with a pair of Wilkinson WOCHB hot ceramic humbucking pickups, a GraphTech NuBone nut, Wilkinson Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece, plus a set of Grover 102C Original Rotomatics tuners. Construction is a traditional mahogany body with a maple cap, and a mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard that is fitted with 22 frets.
RRP – GBP 449
Vintage 25th Anniversary Series V6HSVB
Next up is the 25th Anniversary Series V6HSVB, the company’s take on a well-known Californian guitar we all know and love. This HSS model has two Wilkinson WOVaS single-coil pickups and a WOHZBb humbucker in the bridge position.
You get Wilkinson hardware throughout, including WJ55 E-Z-Lok machine heads, which are paired with a WVC vibrato with steel saddles, and a GraphTech NuBone nut. I’ve owned a Vintage with this setup in the past, and it was solid for tuning stability and sounded great.
This model has an American alder body and a hard rock maple neck, with a rosewood fretboard and 22 frets.
RRP – GBP 429
Vintage 25th Anniversary Series V75 – Silver Burst
Last up is the Vintage 25th Anniversary Series V75SVB. It follows the same formula as the guitar above, with Wilkinson pickups and hardware throughout. This time you get a WVTN alnico pickup in the neck position and an alnico WVTB in the bridge position, and a 3-saddle WTB bridge with a cold rolled steel base plate.
This model is a two-piece American alder body and hard rock maple neck, again loaded with 22 frets.
RRP – GBP 419
Summary
I’ve owned a couple of Vintage models in the past and I will say, the attention to detail, hardware and pickups are always really good with this brand. Don’t be put off by the lower price points. These guitars are solid and you can go and gig with them straight out of the box.
If you fancy a classy looking Silver Burst guitar, and a limited edition one at that, these three are certainly worth taking a look at. I’ve popped some demo videos of each guitar below, so you can check them out in full.
