Viscount Legend One: More than an Organ
Viscount has announced the new Legend One stage keyboard at NAMM 2025. Featuring a combination of the Legend organ emulation and a wide variety of other sounds, the Viscount Legend One is designed to be the ultimate all-in-one keyboard for gigging players.
Viscount Legend One
The new Viscount Legend One is an all-in-one solution for players who need a high-quality organ but also frequently play other sounds such as piano, strings, or synth. This often means that you need to haul several keyboards to a gig. The Legend One offers the manufacturer’s renowned organ simulation and a wide selection of “bread and butter sounds” in a single portable instrument.
The stage keyboard is available in two sizes. While both models have waterfall keys, the 61-key version features an unweighted action for those who mostly play organ. The larger model, on the other hand, has semi-weighted keys, making this keyboard an all-rounder for those who often play piano and other sounds.
The organ and pedal zones are based on Viscount’s Tonewheel Modeling Technology (TMT). In addition to six Hammond varieties, there are three pipe organs and Vox and Farfisa transistor organ emulations. Both models have dual drawbar sets and an additional two drawbars for the pedals. Percussion, Chorus/Vibrato, and a rotary speaker simulation are of course also included. Furthermore, the Legend One offers an 11-pin connector for an external Leslie cabinet.
The “Sound 1” and “Sound 2” sections are based on samples and offer 240 voices of polyphony. 119 sounds are included, ranging from pianos and electric pianos to synths, strings, choirs, guitars, and more. They can be combined with the organ in split and layer configurations. Moreover, the Legend One has three zones for controlling external MIDI gear.
The effects section consists of two insert effects and one master effect, each offering 14 effect types. In addition, there’s a reverb with 13 types and a master EQ.
The stage keyboard offers ample connectivity. Besides the stereo main output and the aforementioned 11-pin connector, there are three additional audio outputs (Aux 1/2, Pedals), an audio input, and a headphone output. The Legend One also has MIDI In/Out, an extra MIDI input for organ pedals, two USB ports (Host / Device), and five connectors for pedals and foot switches.
Price and Availability
As of today, we don’t know when the Viscount Legend One will become available. The price is around $1790 for the 61-key model and $1990 for the 73-key version.
