Vulfpeck’s Joe Dart gets a signature Ernie Ball Music Man bass
One 'bucker bass with a big knob
Vulfpeck bassist Joe Dart has announced his new signature bass with Ernie Ball Music Man. This pared-back model has all you need for tight funk bass and more.
Joe Dart Ernie Ball Music Man bass
The new signature model for Vulfpeck bassist Joe Dart comes with a natural satin-finished ash body, a flamed maple neck with a figured maple fingerboard and factory fitted with flatwound strings. This last part is a huge part of its tone and gives it a very distinct character, which you can hear in the video below.
One ‘bucker bass
This bass has a single custom passive MM humbucker that was designed by Dart and bandmate Jack Stratton. It has plenty of tones on tap that you can dial in with the single oversized volume control.
Limited Run
The signature Joe Dart Bass is limited to only 50 units, all of which will feature ‘First 50’ engraved on the backplate. They should be available by March and can be ordered directly from the Vulfpeck website below. Each one is made individually, so they should be ready to be delivered by August. Be prepared to wait 5 months to receive your bass, though.
This looks like an interesting instrument and certainly sounds really good judging by the video. But you may well have a hard time getting your hands on one of these stripped-back beauties.
RRP – USD 1999
