Xenomorph DIY Modular Synthesizer coming Spring 2020
That’s all it says on the website along with a nice big picture of a 3 oscillator synthesizer with an enormous patch bay.
Xenomorph
Commentators have said that it looks like it could be a clone or update to the Dutch made Synton Fenix II. This Is Not Rocket Science has also recently done their own version of the Fenix with their Fenix IV.
Xenomorph looks very similar to the Fenix II with the layout, large housing, use of banana plugs even the colouring of the sockets is a good match. Along with the 3 oscillators there are 3 envelopes, 5 LFOs, several filter types including a formant, effects and a small sequencer. Other modules include noise generator, wave multiplier, wave shaper, ring modulator, phaser, delay, eight-step sequencer, smoothing unit “Slew Limiter”.
It’s a complex and eclectic mix of modules that are likely to keep the enthusiast busy for a long time.
