As the name suggests the Livetrak L-6 is a 6-channel mixer, but the input section is more versatile than it appears. For starters, you have two XLR combo preamps with phantom power and four stereo line (-10dBu) inputs.

However, channels 3 and 4 can function as dual mono inputs, while 5 and 6 can be assigned as the USB interface outputs. This gives the LiveTrak L6 a great deal of flexibility for recording and signal routing applications.

In addition, the DSP engine gives each channel access to the onboard EQ and effects. MIDI I/O is also available, and there are two mono aux sends for external effects routing. The master bus has a compressor too, and you can save the configurations as scenes for easy recall.

I wished Zoom would come out a 24 mono channels (on XLR) plus 2 or 3 or 4 stereo channels(1/4″), 8 Aux out, a pair of Main Stereo Outputs (XLR), a pair of Control Room Monitor outputs (1/4″), 4 stereo FXs, at least up to 24 mono track plus some stereo tracks ( for multitrack recording/virtual soundcheck, with Punch In & punch out feature) straight to SD or external
    hard drive… etc….

This does not appear to be on ZoomCorp’s English website, it is on their Japanese website though, and with the advent gear that is battery operated (The OG Novation Circuit, The Roland SP 404 mk 2, and the upcoming Roland Aira P6 Sampler (an SP 303 updated and re tooled) ZoomCorp has a winner on their hands with this one

This is my free advice to Zoom corporation. To increase d market base of these pocket size recorders just
    1. ADD MIDI IN AND OUT
    2. ANY OTHER SYNC FACILITIES
    3. FULL OR SOME BASIC EDITING TOOLS LIKE CUT, PASTE, NORMALIZE, INSERT, DELETE ETC.
    on this H6, H4 a
up to the L 20 and then
    4. MARKET AS A HIGH END KEYBOARD COMPANION FOR KEYBOARD OWNERS SICH AS ARRANGER SERIES LIKE KORG PA SERIES, YAMAHA TYROS & ROLAND KEYBOARD OWNERS. IT WILL SELL WITH GOOD PRICING. PLS ZOOM CONSIDER. U are a step away from huge sales. This free and thanks me later if u wish.

No one seems to be concerned about the ergonomics of having your USB C cable coming straight out the top of the device? Also, does it look like you need to have a stereo splitter for the FX sends? where are the returns at?
