ZVex Effects celebrates Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary
To celebrate Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary, Zachary Vex’s effects company has released a set of limited, nature-inspired pedals. These new limited ZVex pedals are all hand painted with one-off graphics to mark the occasion.
Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary
Zvex just launched a whole range of new pedals to commemorate Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary. To honour the planet, the pedals have been given a nature-based theme, and each one comes with customised, hand painted artwork. The Lynx on the Instant Lo-Fi Junky, the frog on the Box Of Rock, and the watery Fuzz Factory cover are all Lisa McGrath creations. The Fuzzolo features trees painted by Frances Bridges and the Box Of Metal has a pink and blue seascape by BA.
Limited Edition
Considering that each pedal is hand painted, it’s not surprising that the series is a very limited edition run. All the units are singles and one offs, it would appear. I suspect that with time, these pedals will eventually become quite collectable, as the hand painted, boutique hand-wired pedal collectors market loves stuff like this.
Jam At Home
At the moment, there is a discount available across the company’s site and you can save some money on many standard purchases. The official ZVex statement below mentions a 20% discount offer for many of its effect pedals, although the Earth Day celebration models don’t seem to be included in this deal.
“Earth Day celebrates its 50 Year Anniversary April 22nd 2020! We’re being taught some harsh lessons at the moment, but we know there are better days ahead. To commemorate this milestone, we are releasing a collection of nature-based custom pedals. Some ‘pretty’ to brighten up your world in uncertain times. We are still sheltering in place, and our 20 per cent Jam At Home Discount is still in effect. The discount automatically applies to all ZVEX products purchased on our site (with the exception of artist collaborations). Be Safe, Be Well, Be Strong!”
